Job Description
The role involves driving and implementing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations, ensuring health, safety, and environmental measures are implemented to reduce risks, and managing HSS and SCM programs across the region.
Responsibilities
- Drive and implement Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
- Ensure HIRARC has been carried out for all the activities and required preventive measures are implemented
- Implement, communicate, and coordinate all HSPS and SCM programs
- Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives for work process risks
- Evaluate and approve PTW for respective regions
- Perform workplace HSPS inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations
- Plan and perform site inspections and audits
- Report and investigate all HSPS and SCM incidents
- Analyse incident data and recommend actions to avoid incidents
- Ensure emergency response plans are established and implemented
- Maintain workforce competency in emergency response management
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor, as needed.
Requirements
- Fully conversant with International HSE standards, codes, and industry practices
- Legislative knowledge and the ability to implement and manage HSE legislation
- Professional certifications in HSE are preferred, including Environmental Studies, First Aid/CPR, Green Book Holder, and Lead Auditor ISO45001 and 14001
- Bachelor's Degree in Environment, Occupational Safety and Health, or Engineering from a recognized institute
- Five (5) years of related HSPS and SCM experience
