Business Insights & Optimization Specialist
Job Description
This role is responsible for driving optimal value extraction across channels and programs by aligning them with overall business performance and productivity goals. It is supported by performance forecasting and financial modeling that detail key business drivers, revenue potential, cost implications, and profitability. These insights are then translated into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
The role also includes independently setting performance evaluation criteria, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and recommending mitigation strategies to support informed decision-making. Additionally, it involves preparing and coordinating accurate forecasting and reporting processes to ensure valid and adequate cost estimations—including Opex, Capex, and COGS.
Regular weekly and monthly reports must be provided to management, covering cost performance, target achievement, and overall progress. These insights support timely interventions to close performance gaps. Ultimately, the role serves as a strategic link between channel performance and financial outcomes, delivering a comprehensive view of business health and enabling data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities

- Support performance forecasting and financial modeling by detailing key business drivers, revenue impact, cost implications, and overall profitability. Coordinate end-to-end forecasting and reporting processes related to cost estimation (Opex, Capex, and COGS).
- Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders, ensuring timely input for performance gap closure.
- Independently define performance evaluation criteria and continuously monitor key business drivers via cost management dashboards.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities, highlight critical red-flag issues, and recommend mitigation strategies to business owners.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, offering investment insights and facilitating strategic alignment across functions.
- Prepare and deliver regular (weekly/monthly) reports to management, covering cost tracking, target achievement, and performance progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business analytics, performance reporting, or commercial strategy, preferably within the telecommunications, FMCG, or digital industry.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and platforms such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
- Experience in process improvement, operational optimization, or business transformation initiatives is highly valued.
- Solid understanding of key business performance metrics, forecasting models, and financial KPIs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders through data storytelling.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with automation, predictive analytics, or machine learning models is a plus.
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a continuous improvement attitude.
