Data Analyst (Network Planning & Optimization)
Role Summary
This role supports the network planning and optimization team by developing, fine-tuning, and deploying AI-driven and automated solutions—particularly those powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI—to enhance planning, monitoring, and optimization activities. The candidate will help create tools and automation workflows that improve network performance, streamline operational processes, and support data-driven decision-making. They will also manage tracking systems and databases to ensure accurate, real-time insights for the planning team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, fine-tuning, and deployment of AI and automation solutions for network planning, monitoring, and optimization.
- Build and maintain tools to automate performance tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
- Work closely with AI Architects, Data Engineers, and network planners to integrate AI models into real-world use case and workflows.
- Support the fine-tuning, testing, and deployment of LLMs using APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) or open-source models for network analytics and optimization.
- Conduct experiments, monitor AI model outputs, and analyse network performance KPIs to improve system accuracy.
- Manage tracking systems and network-related databases to ensure accurate and timely data for decision-making.
- Data Preparation & Feature Engineering – Collect, preprocess, and generate embeddings for AI-powered network analysis.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in machine learning, NLP, and AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with Python and AI libraries (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI API, Claude).
- Exposure to automation scripting, dashboard creation, and performance monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of cloud AI services (AWS, GCP, Azure) or MLOps is a plus.
- Proficiency in database management and data tracking systems.
- Understanding of wireless network concepts, KPIs, and optimization principles.
- Experience in RAN network planning and design, including network transformation and deployment projects (4G/5G).
- Excellent knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/5G technologies, standards, and emerging trends.
- Strong Telco domain knowledge will be an added bonus in applying AI/automation to networks.
