Data Analytics Specialist (Telco Network Operations)
Role Summary
We are looking for a candidate who is excited, passionate and eager to make a difference. This position will be under CelcomDigi Network Engineering & Operations (NEO) Department’s and Technology Division’s. You will assume the role of a Data Analytic Specialist in the Network Operations section and play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, customer experience, and business strategy.You will be working closely with various teams to analyze data and turn data into information & insights which will be used by fellow engineers, managers make decisions.
Responsibilities
- Network Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze network performance data to identify bottlenecks, outages, or inefficiencies.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement within operations.
- Customer Experience Optimization: Analyze data from customer complaint trends, support tickets to identify pain points.
- Reporting and Visualization: Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Support for Strategic Decisions: Analyze the potential impact of new projects, planned activities to operations
- Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics: Use predictive analytics to optimize network resource management and customer targeting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Working as a data analyist for 3 to 5 years preferably in Telco, IT companies or similar industry
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: The ability to think logically, identify gaps in data, and determine the best methods for analysis.
- Communication & Presentation: Crucial for explaining complex findings to non-technical audiences, often through clear reports and presentations.
- Data Storytelling: The skill of turning data into a compelling narrative to explain the "why" behind the numbers and influence decision-making.
- Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with other team members to achieve project goals.
- SQL & Excel : Necessary for basic data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Programming: Proficiency in languages like Python or R
- Data Visualization: The ability to use tools such as Tableau or Power BI to create charts and dashboards that communicate data effectively.
- Statistics: A solid understanding of statistical concepts is needed to analyze data correctly.
- Machine Learning: While more advanced, knowledge of machine learning techniques can be beneficial for predictive modeling.
