EFFICIENCY AND BUSINESS OPTIMIZATION LEAD
Job Description
Lead the Efficiency and Business Optimization Unit, driving cost discipline and operational efficiency across functions to support sustainable growth. Champion data-driven insight to convert opportunity into measurable impact. The role will be hands-on from planning to execution, industry insights, P&L outcome and executive alignment, ensuring efficiency gains are redirected into revenue growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
1. Efficiency and Governance
- Lead the Sales & Retail cost optimization framework, setting strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Establish and monitor Efficiency Scorecard focused on the realization of cost-efficiency initiatives, measuring actual vs planned savings, reallocation to growth and impact on profitability.
- Drive the integration of automation and AI solutions. Partnering with functions from use case identification to execution, streamlining processes, enhancing data-driven insight and enabling more timely, accurate reporting.
2. Business Optimization and Transformation
- Identify emerging risks and optimization opportunities, and propose structural improvements through data insights and benchmarking.
- Oversee business case development for optimization initiatives, ensuring quantifiable impact on profitability.
- Lead workshop and presentation to ensure alignment with business priorities, driving informed decision making on cost vs trade-offs.
3. Channel Profitability
- Establish and maintain a channel profitability framework, identify under-performing channels and lead crosschannel collaboration to optimize resource allocation.
- Drive review sessions with management to evaluate channel mixes, cost to serve models and profitability outlook. Recommending actions to improve channel performance while aligning with overall business priorities.
- Provide channel program insights to drive performance-based growth, benchmarking channel programs against competitors while sustaining cost to revenue efficiency.
4. Realistic Forecasting, Financial Governance and Reporting
- Lead and coordinate forecasting, reporting, and cost management efforts to ensure accuracy and timely updates.
- Monitor targets, OPIs, and business drivers to identify risks or gaps, and initiate mitigation actions for consideration by business owners.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports to management detailing cost positions, quantified targets, and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Data Analytics or related field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in business planning, cost optimization, business transformation (preferably in Telco, FMCG or consulting) with demonstrable hands-on execution and leadership in initiatives
- Proficient in big data analytics, automation and AI tools, data visualization (e.g. power BI, Tableau, SQL) and their application to business and operational performance
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with proven track record of driving business growth, channel profitability and commercial initiatives and securing management alignment
- Experience leading teams, influencing across functions and owning outcomes (including P&L or equivalent business impact)
