Mobile Devices Portfolio & Partnerships Specialist
Job Description
The Partnership & Portfolio Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the end-to-end portfolio strategy for mobile devices and accessories to drive profitability, market share, and sustainable growth. This role oversees product selection, lifecycle management, pricing, promotions, and commercial partnerships while ensuring seamless cross-functional execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own and execute the mobile devices / accessories portfolio strategy, including device selection, lifecycle management, pricing and promotional planning to maximize profitability and market share.
- Establish and manage unit-level revenue, profitability (via marketing fund) and unit sales targets across all mobile device / accessories categories and channels.
- Continuous understanding of the mobile device market, technology trends, competitor actions and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead and finalize commercial negotiations, contracts and joint business plans with strategic vendors to secure exclusive deals, competitive pricing and marketing fund
- Act as the primary liaison with marketing, finance, supply chain, and legal departments to ensure seamless execution of device launches, campaigns and inventory management.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors and distributors, while serving as the primacy contact point for vendors, further leading the negotiation for quarterly targets and rebates.
- Beyond smartphones, identify and onboard strategic partners in the ‘secondary devices’ space to create holistic device ecosystem for the brand.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years working experience with 3 years direct experience
- Experience in managing medium to large vendors / distributors in the telco or related industries
- Managing strategic partnerships and product planning
- Good interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with a varied audience of different levels
- Highly capable of multiple tasking and working under tight deadlines & pressure
- Strong fundamentals in inventory management and planning, with problem-solving capability
- Strong at managing KPIs and deliverables as is expected in any sales and service organization
