Senior Solutions Architect
Role Summary
The Solution Architect for RAN is responsible for scoping, designing, and sourcing new network solutions according to business requirements. This role involves leading the development and maintenance of network solution architecture, driving the integration of new and existing technology solutions, and managing end-to-end design and test management of new solutions.
Responsibilities
- Scope, define, design and source new network solutions based on business requirements
- Lead, develop, maintain and update network solution architecture/design documents and application guidelines
- Drive introduction of new, and evolution of existing equipment and technology solutions into the network inclusive of lifecycle management
- Conduct trials, pilot, POC, FNI of new solutions, including E2E design and test management, testbed design and planning
- Support strategic sourcing as technical domain expert for RFx, evaluate and manage Supplier technical development for enhanced efficiency
- Ensure successful handover to operational stakeholders to manage production system, with clear recommendations and guidelines
- Primary Domain accountability among the following areas: RAN, Transport, Core, Cloud, 5G, OSS, IoT, Edge Computing, Virtualisation
Requirements
- Degree or Masters in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Expertise in network architecture and design across domains such as RAN, Transport, Core, Cloud, 5G, OSS, IoT, Edge Computing, and Virtualization.
Strong technical leadership in solution development, lifecycle management, and introduction of new technologies. - Hands-on experience with trials, POC, and E2E testing, including testbed design and strategic sourcing support.
- Ability to manage supplier technical development and ensure smooth handover to operations with clear documentation and guidelines.
