Senior Technology Development Architect (RAN)
Role Summary
The role involves leading and managing demand management, annual and long-range CAPEX plan and strategies for Radio Access Network (RAN) domain, inclusive of developing advanced RAN solutions and other emerging access technologies. The responsibilities include performing traffic & cost modelling, simulations, and data-driven impact assessments to evaluate technology performance, integration feasibility, and alignment with business requirements. You will also support the Business units by translating commercial needs into engineering considerations, and guide implementation decisions for current and future network architectures. A crucial element is collaborating with stakeholders to promote customer experience, network efficiency and identify new growth opportunities. In addition, you will leverage on analytics to support business and network decisions and drive improvements in operational and cost efficiency across the network architecture. The Technology Development Specialist undertakes these responsibilities, providing vital support and facilitation in demand management, CAPEX planning and strategies, and aiding the development of core business requirements in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage demand management, annual and longrange CAPEX & OPEX plan and strategies, using analytical insights to establish planning guidelines, prepare justifications, and ensure proper documentation and approval processes.
- Develop new RAN technologies and solutions, including modelling, simulation, and impact assessments based on business requirements, working across RAN, Transport, Core, and Cloud domains.
- Perform data analytics to support technology evaluation and decision-making, including analyzing network performance data, identifying trends, and generating insights to guide solution development.
- Drive continuous improvements in operational and cost efficiency, leveraging data-driven assessments while maintaining strong focus on sustainability and Green initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to analyze industry trends, benchmark best practices, and evaluate new or emerging telecom technologies through evidence-based assessments.
Requirements
- Degree or Master in Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science
- Minimum 8 years in the telecommunications industry, with strong expertise in Radio Access technologies and relevant mobile network interworking.
- Proven experience in bringing early technologies and standards into the market.
- Solid knowledge of modelling, translation, and dimensioning, with a good understanding of end-to-end network functionality
