Senior Technology Portfolio & Demand Management
Role Summary
This is a key role in driving the Department’s mandate and Technology Division’s ambitions. Responsible to enable excellence in the management of Technology portfolio, program and projects, establish a standardized technology portfolio and demand management approach including processes, templates and tools and adoption of best practices.
Responsibilities
- Work with e-Portfolio and e-PMO to define and implement portfolio demand management process to support fact-based decision on investments
- Govern project conceptualization and portfolio prioritization process. Facilitate request intake and ideation process
- Continuous management of demands and rebalancing of priorities to ensure integration objectives are achieved
- Ensure incoming concepts are sufficiently mature (e.g. CXO endorsed, impact & feasibility assessment conducted etc.) prior to project formalization
- Establish and ensure technology project portfolio is prioritized and work closely with e-Portfolio, e-PMO and Business on delivery roadmap
- Facilitate feasibility assessment of concepts and facilitate decisions with stakeholders on key priorities based on constraints
- Facilitate discussions regarding IT project funding, resourcing and prioritization while advocating for the business
- Understand, evaluate and manage risks to the Technology project portfolio
- Ensure IT and Network Impact & Synergy are tracked and reported
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in enterprise analysis, PMO or Project Management
- Excellent soft-skills greatly preferred e.g. adaptability, emotional intelligence, perseverance, active listening
- Effective negotiating, consulting and coaching skills
- Prior experience leading diverse and collaborative relationships across multiple teams
- Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
- Ability to set priorities and adapt to changes in a quick, professional manner
