System & Planning Specialist
Role Summary
This role is accountable for the design, implementation, and governance of the Fycelium fiber automation system and fiber planning activities. It ensures system resilience, data integrity, and compliance through technical development, audits, and collaboration, while driving efficient fiber infrastructure planning, strategy execution, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
Fiber Automation System - Fycelium
- System Design and Implementation: Liaison with software developer to plan, design, implement and troubleshoot Fycelium system that meet organizational requirements, ensuring they are resilient and secure.
- Requirements Analysis: Analyze user requirements and Fycelium system capabilities to identify areas for improvement and propose optimal system solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for Fycelium systems architecture, procedures, and standards to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network & system engineers, and , to deliver robust solutions. Deliver knowledge sharing or training towards new user such as fiber contractor.
- Data Migration: Oversee fiber database migration by Global Operating Partner (GOP - ericsson) such as fiber route KMZ, handover document, ODF database, core assignment in Visio and MCMC CIMS system.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Regularly conduct system audits, security assessments, and vulnerability scans to maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations not limited managing active database for user credentials by quarter.
- Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve systems and processes.
Fiber Planning
- Responsible for governance of GOP and oversight of end-to-end fiber design and planning deliverables to ensure high network quality and optimal customer experience.
- Responsible for ensuring the prompt planning and delivery of fiber infrastructure to support network expansion, capacity enhancement, and quality performance.
- Responsible to perform data analysis of requirements, formulate strategy, and collaborate with stakeholders such as sourcing and project team to develop sourcing strategy for operational efficiency activities.
- Drive project management team to ensure deliverables aligns with planning strategy, requirements, priorities, and milestone.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Engineering from recognized university.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software or application development, with a solid background in system design and coding.
- Knowledge in fiber planning is an added advantage; willingness to learn is equally valued.
- Good interpersonal skill and is able to interact/communicate easily and effectively at all levels in the organization.
- Distinctive character, independent, self-motivated, positive attitude, dynamic team player, proactive style of working, hands on and patient.
