Business Insights Specialist
Job Description
The Business Insights team plays a pivotal role in equipping the business with data-driven intelligence. This role is responsible for extracting meaningful insights from data sources, including Tableau, and transforming them into coherent stories that drive business decisions. You will work closely with stakeholders to fulfill both ad hoc data requests and proactively develop insights that identify trends, customer behaviors, and business opportunities. This role also involves standardizing common insights into templates, ensuring reusability, and cataloging insights reports for optimal efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Extract, analyse, and interpret large datasets to deliver insightful reporting that supports strategic decision-making across the business
- Partner closely with stakeholders to understand business questions, conduct deep-dive and ad hoc analyses, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Build and refine customer segmentation analyses to uncover behavioural patterns and enable the creation of targeted products and campaigns
- Develop value-add, automated reports that track changes in subscriber behaviour and performance with efficiency and scalability in mind
- Translate complex data into compelling stories—presenting insights through clear reports and presentations that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- A recognized university degree, preferably in business, marketing, analytics, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business insights, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of customer behaviour and performance management
- Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI
- Proficiency in data analysis using SQL and/or Python
- A curious, analytical mindset with the ability to connect data to business outcomes and communicate insights with confidence
