CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT SENIOR SPECIALIST
Job Description
You will lead the strategic management and monitoring of our key non-wholly owned subsidiaries (NWOs), responsible for the overall governance of NWOs including driving their value creation plan, management and supporting of NWOs in setting their strategies, executing their priorities, and unlocking their potential value in delivering their KPIs. This role also gives the opportunity to lead M&A exercises (acquisitions / divestments / JVs / etc) and require you to develop the overall portfolio optimization strategy for CelcomDigi of its NWOs, assets and businesses.
Responsibilities
Setting and managing CelcomDigi’s owner strategy, pursuing value enhancement, business performance and activities for our investments
- Key member in driving CelcomDigi’s agenda in the investment companies and act as an advisor to CelcomDigi’s Management and to the CelcomDigi’s appointed board members of these investment companies.
- Responsible in managing strategy, governance, priorities, and activities for CelcomDigi’s investments in non-wholly owned companies, joint ventures. Lead the business and financial analysis, review investment companies business plans and projections
- Manage and facilitate financial and business performance reviews, fundamental analyses and coordinate pre-board alignment and clearance together with internal and external experts
- Actively develop and drive value creation initiatives for the existing investments.
- To actively participate in review and prepare recommendations for internal advisory committee, CelcomDigi Board Nominees to facilitate Board discussions and clearances
- Agile to work in complex organisations, navigating and influencing multiple stakeholders to achieve results
- Stakeholder management including other shareholders, Board, senior management, cross-functional advisers and teams
Managing M&A-related exercises and supporting Strategic Projects within CelcomDigi
- Able to lead end-to-end M&A exercise (with assistance of relevant departments, experts and consultants (where necessary)) from target identification, strategic fit and thesis, valuation, due diligence, deal negotiations, completion of transaction and post-M&A integration works.
- Develop and periodically update portfolio optimization strategy (restructuring, value unlocking, etc.) for the companies overall assets (companies, businesses and assets)
- Support strategic projects and strategic partnerships within CelcomDigi that require strategy development, business casing, financial modelling and exploration of partnership models (e.g. JVs)

- Strong project management skills and ability in managing multiple strategic deliverables and priorities
- Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
- Familiar with financial analysis, modelling, valuations, deal structuring and negotiations
- Able to take initiatives, drive performance and handle investment management processes effectively and efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to engage, influence and manage both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master’s Degree Commerce, Finance, Economics or relevant disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of experience in investment portfolio management or performance and governance management functions with multinational companies and executing / supporting M&A
- CFA equivalent qualifications and Telco Industry knowledge would be an added advantage
