Driver (Contract)
Job Description
Responsible for providing safe, timely, and professional transportation services for the Board of Directors, CelcomDigi Management, guests, and general company operations, including serving as a replacement and pool driver when required. The role includes maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of company vehicles through regular cleaning, inspections, maintenance coordination, PUSPAKOM compliance, EV charging management, and nationwide vehicle inspection oversight. Additionally, the position supports efficient dispatch and delivery operations for finance and division documents, fleet documentation, POSM, F&B, stationery, facilities equipment, and nationwide operational support, including events and BCM activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, timely, and professional transportation services for the Board of Directors, CelcomDigi Management, and company guests.
- Act as a replacement driver and support general transportation needs as a pool driver when required.
- Ensure cleanliness and operational readiness of 8 company vehicles, including interior and exterior upkeep.
- Coordinate scheduled vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair arrangements.
- Manage PUSPAKOM inspections for retail trucks and MSP vehicles, while overseeing nationwide vehicle inspection activities.
- Arrange weekly vehicle washing and inspection schedules for company vehicles.
- Monitor and manage EV charging schedules to ensure availability and operational efficiency of electric vehicles.
- Support dispatch and delivery operations for finance and division documents to banks, local authorities, Board of Directors, and Heads of Group.
- Coordinate nationwide delivery of F&B supplies, stationery stocks, POSM materials, fleet documents, and operational equipment.
- Provide logistics and shuttle support for company events, BCM activities, and facilities-related operations.
- Ensure timely and secure handling of confidential, sensitive, and urgent documents.
- Manage tight schedules, last-minute requests, and multiple transportation arrangements efficiently without disrupting operations.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize travel time and navigate traffic conditions efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, safety, and regulatory compliance at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant driving experience.
- SPM or equivalent and above.
- Willing to travel and support nationwide operations when required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Possess a valid Class D and B2 driving license. GDL license is an added advantage.
- Well-versed with routes within Klang Valley and familiar with travel routes across Malaysia.
- Demonstrate good driving discipline, safety awareness, and professional driving etiquette.
- Strong knowledge of road navigation, locations, and route planning.
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently and adapt to last-minute operational changes.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive assignments and documents.
- Physically fit and willing to support operational, dispatch, and logistics-related tasks when required.
