GEA Liaison Officer
Job Description
We're seeking a GEA Compliance Officer to manage daily enforcement agency requests, ensure SOP compliance, improve processes, and maintain accurate records. The role includes attending to statement requests and court subpeonas, while identifying and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Managing daily GEA (Government Enforcement Agency) request within the expected timelines.
- Ensuring compliance to the Authority Request SOP requirements and other internal governing documents in information extraction and dissemination.
- Assist in improving GEA management process and procedures, identify weakness of current control processes and make recommendations for improvement and follow up until proper correction action is properly implemented.
- Attend to request for recording statement by GEAs and ensure court attendance upon being subpeona by court.
- Maintaining detail log, record keeping and dashboard for all GEA's requests managed by the department.
Requirements
- Familiar with the requirements of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 & Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Experienced in proper handling of data protection regulations would be an added advantage.
- Good communication & stakeholder management skills.
- Skilled in the use of information systems, databases, data analytic, Power Point, Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Good proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
- A degree/diploma in Mass Communication/Business Administration/Information Management or other equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years relevant experience in Telecommunications industry or working with a major corporation or multi-national organization managing internal and/or external stakeholders.
