GROUP FINANCIAL REPORTING SPECIALIST
Job Description
As the Group Financial Reporting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial narrative of the organisation. You will lead the preparation of consolidated financial results, ensure compliance with Bursa and MFRS requirements, and partner with key stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.
This role offers high visibility, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to system enhancements and automation initiatives that elevate finance capabilities across the Group.
Responsibilities
Group Consolidation & Reporting Excellence
- Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated financial results to support statutory, principal, and stakeholder reporting.
- Deliver quarterly Bursa announcements and Board reporting packs with accuracy and clarity.
- Prepare annual audited financial statements and shareholder reports in full compliance with regulatory standards and MFRS.
Governance & Compliance
- Act as the focal point for intercompany and related party transactions, ensuring full compliance with Bursa requirements, including RRPT mandates.
- Ensure accurate eliminations, reconciliations, and financial integrity across entities.
Audit & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with external auditors by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit queries efficiently.
- Provide analytical insights to support monthly, quarterly, and AGM reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
- Actively contribute to system improvements, implementations, finance transformation initiatives, and process automation to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
- Identify opportunities to streamline consolidation processes and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent).
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Group financial reporting and consolidation.
- Experience preparing Bursa announcements is preferred.
- Exposure to listed or telecommunication-related companies is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to thrive under tight reporting deadlines.
- Proactive, independent, and collaborative with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
