Government Enforcement Agency Liaison Officer
Job Summary
We're seeking a GEA Compliance Officer to manage daily enforcement agency requests, ensure SOP compliance, improve processes, and maintain accurate records. The role includes attending to statement requests and court subpoenas while identifying and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Managing daily GEA (Government Enforcement Agency) requests within the expected timelines.
- Ensuring compliance to the Authority Request SOP requirement and other internal governing documents in information extraction and dissemination.
- Assist in improving GEA management process and procedures, identify weaknesses of current control processes, make recommendations for improvement, and follow up until proper corrective action is properly implemented.
- Attend to requests for recording statements by GEAs and ensure court attendance upon being subpoena by court.
- Maintaining a details log, record keeping, and a dashboard for all GEAs' requests managed by the department.
Requirements
- A Degree in Mass Communication / Business Administration / Information Management or other equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Telecommunications industry or working with a major corporation or multi-national organization managing internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Familiar with the requirements of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 & Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Experience in the proper handling of data protection regulations would be an added advantage.
- Good communication & stakeholder management skills.
- Skilled in the use of information systems, databases, data analytic, Power Point, Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Good proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
