Next Gen Consumer Specialist
Job Description
This role is for a Product Owner who enjoys turning complex challenges into simple, meaningful experiences. You’ll work across design, engineering, and business teams to deliver high-impact customer journeys while helping transition a large-scale consumer platform into its next generation.

Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of assigned consumer app journeys, from problem definition to release.
- Translate customer and business needs into well-defined user stories and prioritised backlogs.
- Lead sprint planning, grooming, UAT, and release readiness with cross-functional teams
Customer Journey & Experience
- Drive intuitive, user-centric experiences across key journeys such as onboarding, login, account management, and service management.
- Work with designers to ensure clarity, usability, and progressive disclosure within journeys.
- Continuously refine experiences using customer feedback and behavioural insights.
Platform & Legacy Collaboration
- Manage dependencies across backend systems, middleware, and legacy platforms during transition to next-gen architecture.
- Balance short-term stability with long-term improvement, making pragmatic trade-offs when needed.
- Support migration and co-existence phases between legacy and new consumer apps.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with engineering, QA, design, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly on scope, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.
- Support incident and issue resolution by providing product context and prioritisation.
- Manage dependencies across backend systems and middleware.
Data & Continuous Improvement
- Use analytics, customer feedback, and operational insights to identify pain points and opportunities.
- Track outcomes and refine priorities based on impact and learning.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager on digital consumer products.
- Strong understanding of mobile app delivery and agile practices.
- Comfortable working in complex environments with multiple systems and stakeholders.
- Clear communicator with strong ownership mindset.
- Able to balance customer value with delivery and operational realities.
