Next Gen Design Specialist
Job Description
This role focuses on shaping the user-centric design strategy for CelcomDigi’s digital ecosystem, aligning cross-functional business objectives with functional product interfaces. As a core member of the Next Gen Design team, you will collaborate across departments—including Marketing, Product, and Engineering—to craft visually engaging and intuitive user experiences (UX) that ensure seamless customer interactions. Using industry-leading tools, you will bridge the gap between brand storytelling and digital execution, ensuring all initiatives are integrated into a high-performing environment. Acting as a design guardian, you will ensure all digital touchpoints meet brand guidelines and common business goals while managing project momentum and creative excellence.
Responsibilities
-
User-Centric Interface Design: Conceptualize and execute high-fidelity UI designs and intuitive user journeys for CelcomDigi’s digital products, ensuring a "Next Gen" aesthetic that balances beauty with functionality.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements and campaign objectives into seamless digital experiences that meet common company goals.
-
End-to-End UX Ownership: Lead the design process from initial wireframing and prototyping to final hand-off, ensuring every digital touchpoint is optimized for user engagement and conversion.
-
Design System Governance: Act as the gatekeeper for brand integrity, ensuring all digital outputs strictly adhere to CelcomDigi’s brand guidelines and design system components.
-
Strategic Feature Integration: Work with stakeholders to integrate promotional initiatives and new features into the existing digital ecosystem without compromising the core user experience.
-
Industry-Leading Tooling: Utilize advanced design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) to deliver interactive mockups and technical specifications for development teams.
-
Project & Stakeholder Management: Manage multiple project timelines simultaneously, providing regular updates to cross-section departments and ensuring all deliverables are met with creative excellence.
-
Usability Advocacy: Use data-driven insights and user feedback to iterate on designs, advocating for the user’s needs while aligning with the broader commercial strategy.
Requirements
-
Experience: 3–6 years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role, preferably within a fast-paced digital product environment or a large-scale ecosystem.
-
Portfolio Excellence: A strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, showcasing end-to-end journeys, complex problem-solving, and high-fidelity UI execution.
-
Tool Mastery: Expert proficiency in Figma (including advanced use of components, variables, and auto-layout) and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite.
-
Prototyping & Interaction: Proven ability to create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes that effectively communicate motion, transitions, and complex user flows to stakeholders and developers.
-
Design Systems: Experience in building, maintaining, or contributing to a scalable Design System, ensuring consistency across multiple digital touchpoints and platforms (Web, iOS, Android).
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Marketing teams to balance user needs with technical and business constraints.
-
Research & Data-Driven Design: Experience in planning and conducting user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations. Ability to translate raw data and user feedback into actionable design improvements.
-
Technical Literacy: A solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS capabilities and limitations) to ensure design hand-offs are seamless and implementable.
-
Strategic Communication: Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate "the why" behind design decisions to non-design departments and senior leadership.
-
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
