Senior Finance Business Partner (Tech) - Cost
Job Description
In this role at CelcomDigi, you will oversee and lead the cost management function for Technology division to drive financial performance (not limited to CAPEX/OPEX/COGS) and strategic initiatives (not limited to OE, sourcing related activities supporting financial performance for Tech, strategic cost programs and reporting) within the finance function for a leading telecommunications company in Malaysia.

Responsibilities
Advisory and Strategic Planning:
- Act as a strategic partner to the Technology leadership team, providing financial advice and recommendations to achieve business goals.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to contribute financial perspectives, ensuring compliance and controls in alignment with company policies and procedures for Technology.
Business Decision Support:
- Work closely with technology leaders to understand their business objectives and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Evaluate technology projects and initiatives, assessing their financial viability and impact on the overall business strategy.
Performance Management:
- Overseeing and driving financial performance for CAPEX/OPEX (incl. OPEX capitalisation)/COGS, Contract review etc.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Assist, develop and manage financial budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technology investments.
- Identify trends and opportunities for optimization to enhance overall financial performance.
Cost Management:
- Overseeing and driving cost and OE (covering the entire P&L related to Technology) to achieve business plans and yearly KPI targets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for cost optimization in alignment with strategic goals.
- Drive cost-effective strategies within the Technology department to not limited to internal cost optimization and resource allocation, challenging the cost structure and including internal and external benchmarks to measure costing levels, and initiate activities that enables cost optimization and efficiency opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other business partners and departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with overall company objectives.
- Provide financial support for cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Perform cross function related activities not limited to collaboration within Finance departments in forecast, planning, report consolidation, submission of financial related papers and presentations, monitoring dashboards etc. and Business units stakeholders on performance management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Technology, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 8 - 15 years of experience is preferred. Minimum 5 years in business partnering or related field.
- Experience in business partnering, business planning or performance management.
- Strong business case development, financial evaluations/modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with technology-related financial concepts and trends.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
