Senior HR Business Partner / HR Business Partner
Job Summary
As an HR Business Partner / Senior HR Business Partner at CelcomDigi, you will report to the Head of HR Business Partners and act as a trusted partner to business leaders and a coach to employees, aligning people priorities with organisational goals. You will collaborate with HR teams and leaders across your portfolio to drive and execute people initiatives across areas such as talent management, rewards and recognition, culture-building, workforce planning, organisational design, performance management and so on. The role operates in a fast-paced telecommunications environment and the nature of work involves a combination of design, advisory and operational execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of business functions and independently partner with leaders on a broad range of people matters, including talent management, rewards & recognition, culture-building, workforce planning, organisational design and performance management.
- Facilitate organisational restructuring, operating model transformation and workforce transition initiatives as required.
- Support talent-related decision-making through involvement in activities such as candidate interviews, employee exit discussions and focus group sessions on various people topics.
- Drive and support business transformation initiatives within the assigned portfolio, particularly in change management and communication efforts involving people impact.
- Collaborate closely with relevant HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) to plan and lead the implementation of HR frameworks, processes and initiatives, including development planning, annual performance and salary review exercises, capability development and employee engagement programmes.
- Oversee day-to-day people operations, including hiring, onboarding/offboarding, data management, reporting & analytics, employee relations and grievance handling, in collaboration with relevant HR teams.
- Ensure adherence to governance standards, company policies and Malaysian employment legislation across all HR practices and initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, coupled with a genuine passion for building progressive and people-centric workplaces.
- Mid-career HR professional with experience across multiple HR disciplines, such as business partnering, talent management, employee relations, organisational development or performance management.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving capability, with the ability to analyse complex situations, connect insights and develop practical, effective solutions.
- Proven ability to engage, influence and advise senior stakeholders on HR and people-related matters, including managing challenging conversations with confidence and professionalism.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and present effectively to diverse and sizeable audiences.
- Collaborative and proactive team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive outcomes through strong stakeholder management.
- Highly organised with strong execution capabilities, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
