Senior Strategy & Planning Specialist
Job Description
Strategy and Planning drives and manages the lifecycle of all projects and initiatives for the division. This includes developing strategies, identifying key priorities, and implementing efficient processes to ensure alignment, faster time-to-market, and strategic clarity.
Responsibilities
- To work closely with different stakeholders to develop a well-defined strategy and game plan for all areas in Consumer Business
- To identify key priorities and activities in the evolving Consumer Business roadmap
- To drive forums for concept approval and ensure alignment across different stakeholders across the organisation
- To review and support drafting of commercial proposals, ask the right questions and ensure all initiatives makes sense strategically and financially
- To perform analysis and be able to articulate qualitative and quantitative considerations to support top management in decision making
- To facilitate processes with regards to forecasting, budgets/spending, accounting treatment and risk assessments
- To define and implement efficient processes through standardisation, ensuring effective efforts, faster to market and is sustainable
- To drive and project manage multiple special projects and work with multiple stakeholders to come to a conclusion/recommendation for top management
- To prepare materials and be able to tell the story across a wide range of audiences, from townhalls to management meetings, board meetings, external communications etc.
Requirements
- Typically requires a candidate with experience in management consulting or experience in strategy development, planning, and project management, or similar roles in Financial Services, FMCG, Media, Oil & Gas, Aviation, Tech or multi-national corporations.
- A professional qualification (CFA/CA) or MBA is an added advantage (but not essential)
- Strong understanding of the telecommunications market, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Proficient in synthesising concepts and analysis into recommendations for top management decision making
- Able to multi-task and manage own time effectively and ability to handle multiple strategic priorities, with support from manager and other team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, solid financial acumen and ability to structure the narrative/key arguments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to tackle complex challenges and drive results
- Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to stakeholders and external business partners
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities as well as work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
