In this role at CelcomDigi, you will be part of the Brand & Marketing –Social Media team, driving content that inspires communities through the power of sports while also supporting Youth, Prepaid, and Network pillars. You will drive storytelling that champions active lifestyles, advances Malaysia’s esports and traditional sports, and empowers the next generation of athletes — all while ensuring CelcomDigi stays relevant and impactful across the digital space.

Responsibilities
- Drive sports-led social campaigns or engagement content that showcase CelcomDigi’s role in empowering athletes, celebrating grassroots talent, and building national pride.
- Develop and execute story-driven content strategies around sports sponsorships, events, and partnerships, ensuring alignment with CelcomDigi’s brand narrative.
- Support broader brand pillars including Youth, Prepaid, and Network segments, bringing fresh, relevant, and engaging content ideas that connect with these audiences.
- Continuously monitor and tap into trends, conversations, and cultural moments to keep CelcomDigi’s content timely and impactful. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, agencies, and external partners (e.g., sports associations, influencers, youth communities) to amplify campaigns.
- Report and track performance and apply insights from analytics and social listening to optimise content effectiveness.
- Coordinate and manage content production — including KOL management — and liaise with internal teams, agencies, and production houses, with on-ground coverage and travel when required, to deliver timely and impactful content.
- Oversee end-to-end campaign cycles while upholding the highest standards of quality and consistency across CelcomDigi’s social channels.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Social Media and Content Marketing, with exposure to sports marketing, sponsorships, or event activations.
- Proven knowledge of the sports landscape — from esports to traditional sports — with the ability to apply these insights in content and marketing strategies.
- Ability to articulate stories, craft and produce content that inspire and engage with audience.
- Experience in managing campaigns across multiple platforms: TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Strong understanding of Malaysia’s sports ecosystem, youth trends, and digital culture.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in Mandarin would be a plus.
- Strong end-to-end project and stakeholder management skills to balance sports initiatives alongside prepaid, network, and youth-related campaigns.
- Advantageous: Prior collaborations with sports organisations, youth communities, or brands with active sponsorship programs.
