Job Description
The Head of Section, Sales Channel Management is responsible for strategizing and driving the overall sales channel including Franchise and Retail by achieving the volume/value/profitability targets. This role involves managing the sales team and channels, understanding market trends, and implementing company sales and marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Sales Strategy & Growth: Own and drive the overall sales channel strategy across Franchise and Retail, delivering ambitious volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Drive Business Performance: Partner closely with the Sales Team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual acquisition and revenue goals, turning business objectives into measurable results.
- Build & Empower High-Performing Teams: Develop, coach, and motivate the sales team while strengthening capabilities across all sales channels to build a winning culture.
- Turn Market Insights into Action: Stay ahead of market trends and competitor moves, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into effective tactical plans.
- Shape Market Leadership: Strengthen brand presence and positioning across the region, building a strong market reputation and driving the business towards market leadership.
- Maximize Distribution & Sales Potential: Execute the company’s sales and marketing strategy while unlocking the full potential of the retail distribution network across the entire product portfolio.
- Build a High-Impact Distribution Network: Design and optimize the distribution channel, establish clear distribution benchmarks, and track performance through effective secondary sales tracking and distribution processes.
- Expand Market Reach: Drive distribution depth and width by identifying new opportunities, strengthening distributor partnerships, and conducting regular distributor audits to ensure sustainable growth.
- Stay Ahead of the Competition: Continuously monitor competitors’ distribution strategies, market approaches, and activities to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Relevant Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, providing a strong foundation for success in this role.
- Proven Sales Leadership Experience: 10–12 years of experience in Sales and/or Retail, with experience in the Telecommunications (Telco) industry highly preferred.
- Strong Distribution & Sales Expertise: Solid understanding of retail distribution, channel management, and sales force models, with the ability to translate strategy into market execution.
- Influential Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Agile Decision-Maker: Strong multitasking, prioritization, and decision-making abilities, with the flexibility to navigate a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
- Data-Driven Problem Solver: A strong analytical and statistics-driven mindset, with the ability to turn data and insights into practical solutions and business opportunities.
